Salam!

Salam means peace in many languages. If one thinks about it, this is a beautiful greeting; to declare peace over people you meet, whether they are from your most intimate circle or are complete strangers. That is the mindset that I wish to integrate into this organization. A heart to bless everyone you meet, to show them Jesus, and to show them themselves in the light of Christ. To declare peace and blessing.

Who Am I?

I am that sweeper’s son who used to play in the streets of my colony. I am that orphan kid who used to sit and chat with my school friends. I am that young boy who used to work at that Christian bookstore in old Karachi. I am that young man who had a heart for the youth of my community and therefore started a school to provide them with education. I am that man who was deceived by his partners and left with nothing. That man whom God picked up from that nothingness and poured abundance into. The man that God placed in the right places, at the right times. I am that sweeper’s orphan son whom God has used so graciously while blessing him beyond what that little kid could have imagined. (https://www.worldwatchmonitor.org/2016/11/ansers-story/)

My life is a testimony to my community; that low place is not for us! Those places are not our destinations. God has more, and now is the time for us to take hold of that. Today, I can stand where I am and claim that I have spent the last 22 years of my life serving God, who has taken me to places that I could never imagine setting foot. From 2005 to 2009, I was an elected member of the Town Council, serving on behalf of minorities while also working as the treasurer at YMCA from 2007 to 2008. In 2001 I started my own school, Holy Shepherd Grammar School, and have been serving there ever since. I started the school as an administrator cum principal and today I am one of the board members of the school. I was also the director of the Vocational Training Center which we build to accompany the school, providing training to the youth as well as to the adults. I also served as the General Secretary at the Aagje Johanna Qazi Memorial Educational Welfare Society for 7 years. I have also spoken at the Scottish Parliament and the House of Commons, representing the Christian minority.

After serving at my school for 11 years, God brought me and my family to Lahore in 2012 to serve the youth at a wider level with Starfish Pakistan. When we first left Karachi, we did not have anything. We left everything behind and came to Lahore, following God’s calling. However, as we walked in obedience, God proved that He is truly our Provider. I served as the National Director of Starfish Pakistan for ten years, supervising and serving over 53 projects. These projects included schools, and homes for orphans, and special needs children. It was an amazing journey; we have blessed many and been blessed by many.

However, at the beginning of 2021, it became clear that it was time to part ways with Starfish; God was calling us to something new. So as a family, we decided to develop an organization dedicated to improving the Christian community holistically. It was a scary beginning; it is a scary process. At first, it felt like we were back at square one, but page 1 is usually the beginning of yet another wonderful story. I hope you join us on this exciting adventure as God unfolds another story narrating the good of His people and the glory of His name.

I’m always looking for new opportunities to meet people.
