Dear Partner,
At Chopan Trust we have witnessed a pressing issue that continues to affect the future of many young boys and girls: poverty and limited educational opportunities. While higher education is often the primary focus of many scholarship programs, we recognize that a large majority of students from marginalized backgrounds are left behind. A large number of these students complete their Secondary School Certificate with less than 50% marks, making them ineligible for competitive degree programs such as Medicine, Nursing, or Engineering. The situation is particularly dire for young girls, who, due to financial hardships, are often forced into domestic labor, where they are at risk of exploitation.
To address this critical gap, Chopan Trust is launching the Chopan Scholarship Program, specifically targeting boys and girls who face significant challenges in securing their future due to poverty. Our initiative will provide scholarships for Allied Health Courses and Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE)—practical, skill-based programs that lead to stable and dignified employment. These courses are not as costly as traditional degree programs but offer a direct pathway to self-sufficiency and a brighter future.
Saima is the first student who was awarded a Chopan Scholarship for a six-month Internship.
Empowering young girls and boys through education and skill-building is key to breaking the cycle of poverty and exploitation. By supporting these students, we can ensure that they step into dignified jobs rather than being forced into menial labor with little to no prospects.
We invite you to join us in this transformative journey. Would you consider partnering with us to make a real difference in the lives of these forgotten students? Your support can help change their future, providing them with education, dignity, and hope.
We would love to discuss how you can be a part of this mission. Please feel free to reach out to us.
Looking forward to working together for a brighter tomorrow.
Warm regards,
Chopan Team
