Hope in the Midst of Floods: Chopan Trust’s Relief Efforts in Kasur

Reaching Flood Victims in Remote Villages

Our team stayed in close contact with more than 100 families in these hard-hit communities. To understand their needs firsthand, we visited the flood rescue camp and even braved a boat journey to Kamalpur. The trip was dangerous, and on our way back, our team was caught in heavy rain—but the commitment to reach people in need kept us moving.

Health needs were a serious concern in the flooded villages. With the support of Col. Dr. Amir and his medical team from the Royal Institute of Health Sciences, Chopan Trust organized a Free Medical Camp in Kamalpur. More than 150 men, women, and children received medical check-ups and essential medicines. This initiative ensured that families vulnerable to infections and waterborne diseases could access immediate care.

Relief Packages and Support for Families

Chopan Trust also extended practical help to families who had lost their homes and belongings in the flood:

  • 25 families in Kamalpur received a cash gift, enabling them to purchase food and other urgent necessities.
  • 75 families in nearby villages were provided with essential relief packages, including mattresses, quilts, pillows, and other daily-use items for dignity and comfort.

Standing Together for Hope

These relief efforts are just the beginning. The floods have left lasting challenges, but together we can help families rebuild their lives. At Chopan Trust, our mission is to stand with vulnerable communities in times of crisis through compassion, practical support, and long-term development.
