Statement of Faith:
“At Chopan Trust, our work is guided by a deep-rooted faith that shapes our values, vision, and mission. As an organization dedicated to making positive change in the lives of marginalized communities, we believe it is essential to share the foundation of our faith. Our Statement of Faith reflects the principles that inspire and motivate us in our journey of compassion, empowerment, and transformation. We invite you to explore these beliefs, which drive our commitment to education, community development, and interfaith harmony. Through our faith, we aim to create a brighter, inclusive future where communities are empowered to influence their environments positively, guided by compassion, empowerment, and collaboration.”
The Triune God: We believe in one God who eternally exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, yet distinct in their roles and functions.
The Bible: We affirm the Bible as the inspired and authoritative Word of God, serving as the ultimate source of truth and guidance for our faith and practice. It is without error and provides a complete revelation of God’s will for humanity.
The Incarnation: We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, who, while remaining fully God, took on human form, being born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of humanity through His crucifixion.
Salvation by Grace: We recognize salvation as a gift from God, not earned by human efforts but received through faith in Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection provide forgiveness of sins and reconciliation with God.
Regeneration and the Holy Spirit: We acknowledge the work of the Holy Spirit in the regeneration of individuals, granting them new life and dwelling within believers to provide guidance, empowerment, and spiritual gifts.
The Church: We believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, comprised of all true believers. We emphasize the local church as a vital expression of Christian community, worship, teaching, and mission.
The Second Coming: We anticipate the imminent return of Jesus Christ, when He will establish His eternal kingdom. This event will include the resurrection of the dead, final judgment, and the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan.
Evangelism and Mission: We are called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all people, inviting them to accept Christ’s forgiveness and become His followers. We actively engage in missions and social justice efforts, demonstrating God’s love in practical ways.
Personal Holiness: We strive for a life of holiness and obedience to God’s Word, empowered by the Holy Spirit, as we seek to reflect Christ’s character in our thoughts, words, and actions.
Unity in Diversity: We celebrate the diversity within the body of Christ and endeavor to maintain unity among believers, grounded in our common faith in Jesus Christ.
