Restoring What Matters: Bible in Every Class Across Pakistan

Across Pakistan, a quiet but powerful movement is beginning to take shape. Through a series of orientation sessions in Lahore, Gujranwala, Khanewal (Multan region), and Karachi, Chopan Trust has started introducing school leaders to a vision that is both simple and deeply needed: bringing the Bible back into every classroom.

The response has been encouraging, but the reality is clear. In Karachi, 18 schools attended, yet only one was aware of the Bible Curriculum. In Gujranwala, out of 18 schools, only two had prior knowledge. In Khanewal, 21 schools participated (42 principals and teachers), and just three knew about it. These numbers are not discouraging, they are revealing. They show how urgent and important this mission truly is.

A Vision for 5 Districts, 15,000 Students

Chopan Trust is now moving forward with a clear and focused plan. The goal is to reach five key districts, including an upcoming fifth location in either Faisalabad or Kasur. In each district, 20 schools will be invited for a one-day orientation designed for principals.

This is not just an introduction. It is an invitation to transformation.

Each participating school will receive free Bible Curriculum books for every child, with a target of reaching 500 classes and 15,000 students. Alongside this, teachers will be equipped with guides and ongoing support to ensure that Bible teaching becomes a meaningful and lasting part of classroom life.

The curriculum, developed by Mike Wakely, and published by Nirali Kitabein, is available in both English and Urdu, making it accessible and practical for schools across different regions.

More Than a Programme

This initiative is not just about distributing books. It is about restoring something that has been missing for far too long. It is about helping children grow not only in knowledge, but also in faith, character, and purpose.

As shared in our recent newsletter, this one-year project is fully underway, with teacher trainings, school engagement, and continuous support planned throughout 2026. The vision is clear: to see Bible teaching become a natural and active part of everyday learning in Christian schools.

The Road Ahead

The openness of school leaders, the hunger for guidance, and the lack of existing resources all point in one direction, this work must continue and expand.
