Each Life Matters, Each Dream is Seen.
“You are the God who sees me.” — Genesis 16:13
In every community, there are young hearts full of dreams but trapped by poverty and hopelessness. Among them are many Christian boys and girls who, after completing their matriculation, find their future closed—first because of poverty and second because of low marks that make college admission impossible. Without education or skills, their dignity, confidence, and future all begin to fade.

To respond to this painful reality, Chopan Trust launched the “Neglected Ones” Scholarship Initiative — a program created to give these forgotten youth a second chance. The initiative aims to lift those who had lost hope for education and restore their confidence to build a life of purpose and honour.
This year, the Trust received over 45 applications, and after a careful selection process, 18 young men and women were chosen for full scholarships in skill-based professional programs. These include Allied Health courses—such as Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Operation Theatre Technology, and Physiotherapy—and Diplomas of Associate Engineering (DAE) in fields like Computer and Electrical Technology.

To make this possible, Chopan Trust signed partnerships with Royal Institute of Health Sciences, Superior College, and Don Bosco Technical Institute. On 29th October, we proudly gathered these students to celebrate the beginning of their new journey. Each student received their textbooks and official scholarship letters. Chopan Trust is covering their admission fee, monthly tuition, textbooks, and examination fees. We also hope to soon provide uniforms, as many students, especially girls, shared that their parents cannot even afford those.
From 3rd November, these 18 young people—once sitting hopelessly at home—started their journey toward a brighter future. Through this initiative, they are not only earning degrees but reclaiming their dignity, building stronger families, and becoming a light for their communities.
Stories of Hope
1. Isha Ijaz
Isha’s father is a daily-wage labourer who struggles to meet basic needs. For more than two years, Isha stayed home after matriculation, watching her dreams fade. She longed to study and support her family but had no means. When she heard about Chopan Trust’s scholarship, she applied in faith—and God opened a door. Today, Isha has joined a medical technician program and proudly says, “I believe my future is changing.”

2. Paterson Peter
Paterson lost his father years ago. His widowed mother lives with her married daughter while Paterson stays with his uncle because they have no home of their own. After three years of waiting, he found hope through Chopan Trust. Now enrolled in a Diploma of Associate Engineering, he says, “One day I will earn enough to bring my mother home and care for her.”
3. Sania Majid
Sania’s father sells fruit to feed his seven children. After matriculation, he told her that continuing education was impossible—he could barely afford food and schooling for the younger ones. Sania waited and prayed for three years, believing that God would make a way. Her cousin told her about Chopan Trust, and her prayer was answered. Sania is now studying Physiotherapy and says, “God heard me. I want to serve and heal others one day.”

The Way Forward
Chopan Trust continues to receive new applications—many from students who wish to pursue BSN Nursing and other advanced programs. We cannot yet support them all, but we believe that with the help of compassionate partners, many more “Neglected Ones” will rise to build lives of dignity and faith.
Every scholarship is a seed of hope. Together, we can help these young people not just study, but stand with honour, serve their families, and live as witnesses of God’s grace.
Each Life Matters. Each Dream is Seen.
