From July 23 to 25, we held a 3-day teachers’ training to prepare for the upcoming academic session starting in August, following the summer break. A total of 25 teachers from 5 different community-based schools joined us, attending daily sessions from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The training was interactive and engaging, filled with ice-breakers, group discussions, and learning through play-based activities—not just lectures, but real conversations around real challenges. At Chopan Trust, we believe in the transformative power of education. Every child, regardless of their background, deserves the opportunity to learn and grow. It is with immense gratitude and humble hearts that we share the news of our recent school textbook distribution drive in Lahore, Pakistan, bringing essential learning materials to hundreds of deprived and needy Christian children. This initiative saw over 500 young learners from Pre-classes, PG, Nursery, and Prep Classes receive vital textbooks. These eager students attend various community schools dedicated to providing education to underserved populations, including: EROS School Mercy School The Knowledge Zone School Grace Community School The smiles on the faces of these children as they received their new books were a testament to the profound impact even the simplest resources can have. These textbooks are not just pages and ink; they are gateways to knowledge, tools for a brighter future, and a beacon of hope for families striving for a better life. While we are overjoyed by the success of this distribution, we also want to share a reflection on our larger vision. Our prayer and goal were to provide not only textbooks but also notebooks and school bags to 3000 children this year. Although we couldn’t reach that ambitious target, we hold steadfast to our faith. We believe, unequivocally, that “God has better plans for us” (Jeremiah 29:11, reflecting the biblical sentiment). Every step forward, every child we are able to reach, is a blessing and part of His divine purpose. We trust in His timing and His provision, knowing that even in what might seem like unfulfilled goals, His grace abounds. We are delighted to report the outstanding success of our recent National Career Festival! The event exceeded expectations, engaging 650 enthusiastic students and teachers. Despite over 200 students from Catholic institutions being unable to attend due to the Pope’s funeral, the impact on the 650 participating high school graduates was significant. The festival offered a vital platform for these young individuals to explore their future ambitions. Over 20 dedicated panelists from diverse professions shared their career journeys, providing valuable insights and answers to students’ questions about their dream careers. Each student received a “Career Counseling” booklet and “The Amazing Story of Pakistan’s Christians.” We believe this event has inspired the future leaders.  Thankful to Starfish sending 200+ students.
